A Mini Simmons surfboard is seriously fun to ride….
First created by Joe Bauguess It’s an unusual design with it’s own stylish ride quality in the right conditions. You can’t beet the speed and loose feel of the Mini Simmons Surfboard. You basically could cut all the surfboards down into two types, the Displacement Hull and the Planning Hull.The displacement hull cutting through the water while the Mini Simmons Planning hull rides on top of the water giving you that loose skating feel.
It’s taken me quite some time to fine tune this board, i wanted this one to get as close as i can to the feel of my Sea Monster Simmons. The main difference is this version is designed to have Future fin boxes instead of the glass on Keel fins so i had to re-design from nose to tail. So the end result of all my hard work has payed off I’m really pleased with the ride quality and maneuverability of my Mini Simmons. The board is a joy to ride it’s super fast and fun and will be a big hit in the summer swells.
With it’s straight outline and low Simmons rocker you get a board that glides faster, is more responsive and gives you a huge wave count. The mini Simmons is a very versatile shape it can ride waves from mushy 2ft to nice hollow head high waves. The board is packed with hidden volume. The 5ft10″ comes in at 43ltrs. This means you can go very short which gives you a very skateboard type of feel under foot.
The Mini Simmons feature the usual S deck configuration with the single concave between the fins. Custom Sizes are available from 5ft4″ to 6ft4″. The board pictured is a 5ft10″ x 22″ x 2.7″ @43ltrs. The Board comes with Future fin boxes as standard, However you can have FCS11 boxes in this board just mention this so i can give you an accurate quote.
