That’s why we adapted our popular Drifter model into a kid-friendly longboard. Designed with lighter weight and better handling, it gives young surfers the ability to glide, trim, and start stepping toward the nose with ease—building skills and confidence from the very start.
Our Kids Longboard is crafted to help young surfers build real board-walking skills from day one. With its classic log shape and thoughtfully refined design, it feels light underfoot, flows smoothly through turns, and offers a forgiving ride that’s perfect for learning.
Blending effortless glide with reliable control, this board is made to boost confidence in the water. It supports kids as they progress from their first rides to walking the board and eventually stepping onto the nose—all while having an incredible time.
Grom Size Longboard features
The Kids Longboard features a light nose concave paired with a hulled V-bottom and pinched soft rails for smooth, forgiving performance. Board pictured is 7’6” at 52 L, but each board is custom-sized to suit your child. However custom sizes are available from 7’0” to 8’6”, with tailored widths to fit even the smallest shoulders.
Fin Setup comes standard with a 2+1 fin setup, giving your young rider the option to enjoy it as a classic single fin or with side bites for extra stability while Learning. Each Log comes with fins to suit the board and enhance the ride and can be custom made to a colour of your choice.
