I wanted to design a smoother more maneuverable Longboard that would still nose ride well. So the Cali has a more constant curve to the rocker with extra tail kick while the nose concave is deep and travels from the tip of the nose then fades out past half way down the bottom deck this gives an amazing amount of lift on takeoff and speed down the line. The bottom is rolled V for rail to rail turns, considering the size it feels really light and loose to turn off the tail.I opted for a wider hip and square tail to keep the outline straighter and to help the fin hold when you are at the nose end.
The Cali ideal for day to day surfing it’s easy to ride and great to learn to cross step and noseride, it’s traditional and modern at the same time with lots of volume to play with, it would suit any surfer from beginner to expert and will ride in waves from 1ft to overhead.
